Finishing the Magnets

Leave the backs unfinished or finish them by gluing a piece of felt or synthetic suede (trimmed so that it is slightly smaller then the magnet) to the back of the stitched piece. Then glue a 1-inch (2.5 cm) round or square magnet to the center of the back and allow it to dry completely before using.

Designer Tip

To make the cherries and lemons look smooth and shiny the way they do in real life, try stitching them in silk or pearl cotton.
